CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

We are seeking poetry centered around the themes of: resistance, survival, or taking up space. How do you fight back? How do you choose to be unapologetic? What have you survived? This is an open-ended theme about your experience as a person in a world that feels as though it was not made for you. We are seeking poems about YOU, how you survive, how you take up space, and how you choose to be unapologetically yourself in spaces that want to silence or erase you. Write about your wounds in whatever stage of healing they are in. You can interpret this however you wish, it does not need to be rigid or literal. This means your poem can be about an actual event in your life that you’ve survived or resisted, or it can be about petting your cat if that’s a part of why you’re here. Say what you want to say when you think no one is listening, but you wish they were.
If you really think your poetry doesn’t fit, you should send it anyway.
You are your own greatest weapon and there is only one you.
